In honour of the excellent academic, and administrative services of Prof. G. R. K. Gupta, Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering
Prof. G. R. K. Gupta, born on 19th May 1959, obtained B.E. in Mechanical Engineering in the year 1981
from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and M.E. from IISC Bangalore in 1983. Later, he joined NSTL
Visakhapatnam and worked there for one year. Subsequently, he moved to IISc Bangalore and served as
Scientific Officer from 1984-87. In the year 1987, he joined REC Warangal as Lecturer. His research area
is Computational Fluid Dynamics, Compressible flows, Gas Turbine and Jet Propulsion.
Felicitation to Prof G. R. K. Gupta on the eve of his superannuation is

The 2nd International Conference on Mechanical Engineering: Researches and Evolutionary Challenges (ICMech-REC 24) – Hybrid mode is being organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The very purpose of the conference is to provide a platform for the academicians, scholars, researchers and industry personal from all around the globe to discuss and disseminate the knowledge created on the latest developments in Mechanical Engineering. ICMech-REC 24 is structured around several thematically focused sessions during which participants present their work and discuss the advances and challenges in these thematic areas. Several world-renowned experts from the thematic areas have already confirmed to share their years of knowledge and wisdom during the plenary and keynote lectures sessions with the participants during ICMech-REC 24. The organizing committee also encourages those who are not presenting their work, also to benefit from the discussions and networking opportunities offered by ICMech-REC 24.
The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal is the first in the chain of 31 NITs, Institutes of National Importance established in 1959 by Act of Parliament. It is consistently ranked as one of the top engineering colleges in the country. Department of Mechanical Engineering offers One UG program, Seven PG programs and a Ph.D. program. There are 50 qualified and experienced faculty in the department.The department has a liaison with reputed industries and R&D organizations
