About the Conference
The International Conference on SWAT 2027, to be hosted at the National Institute of Technology Warangal, India, will bring together leading researchers, practitioners, and policymakers working in hydrology, watershed management, and environmental modeling. The conference will highlight innovative methodologies, real-world applications, and emerging technologies for sustainable water resources management.
The event will feature expert talks, technical sessions, hands-on workshops, and collaborative discussions aimed at addressing pressing challenges such as climate change impacts, water security, land-use dynamics, and ecosystem conservation through science-based and data-driven solutions. Original and innovative papers are invited from academicians, researchers, practicing engineers, industry experts and consultants.

Publication
Selected papers will be published as a book chapter in a Scopus indexed book by Springer, CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group, Elsevier and other publishers.
National Institute of Technology, Warangal
The National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NITW) is the first in the chain of 31 NITs, Institutes of National Importance established by Act of Parliament. The first Prime Minister of Independent India, Late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, laid the foundation stone for this Institute on October 10, 1959.
The Institute is well-known for its Research and Development, Industrial Consultancy, and Continuing Education and Training programmes for teachers, professionals and industrial personnel. The Institute entered its 65th year of establishment on 10th October 2021. Warangal is known for its rich historical and cultural heritage, situated 140 km from Hyderabad and well connected by rail and road.
Department of Civil Engineering
The Department of Civil Engineering offers a B.Tech programme in Civil Engineering, M.Tech programmes and a PhD programme. It is a recognized QIP center since 1978. The Department has well-established and well-equipped laboratories, with experienced faculty engaged in teaching, research, capacity building activities and industry extension services.
Faculty members represent several policy-making and professional bodies, and the Department maintains liaison with reputed industries and R&D organizations.

The Water Resources Engineering and Geoinformatics groups at the National Institute of Technology Warangal are actively engaged in advanced teaching, research, and consultancy in the fields of hydrology, water resources management, and geospatial technologies.
