I feel it a privilege to host the National Conference on "Sports and Excercise Psychology", the first ever Conference organised by the Department of Physical Education of NIT Warangal, more so as it is being organised during the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the Institute. The Institute has excellent sports & games facility and a mandatory physical education activity is a part of the curriculum of NITW. The conference organised in colloboration with Sports Psychology Association of India, will provide an excellent platform for researchers, academicians, practitioners, sports person and other interested in this discipline to exchange their ideas and updated information on research findings and their application. Being held in an institute of technology of national importance, the conference set the trend for discussion on development and application of Science and Technology for human health, fitness and welfare. I am sure that the deliberations at this conference will be inspiring and creative for everyone and that will make a contribution to the progress of Sport Psychology.
I convey my best wishes for the success of this conference, which will be a trend setter for similar and related activities in future.
I am delighted to know that 29th National conference of Sport Psychology is being organised by the National Institute of Technology Warangal Telangana. the conference programme reminds us all, the importance of inclusivity and witness immense development of sport psychology to provide an atmosphere conducive to learn for its practitioners and students. The field boasts of many initiatives to make it one of the most sought after field for the elite performance in sports and facing the routine hazards of this competitive society. I would like to convey my warmest greetings to all those associated with this conference specially management and event organiser.

NIT Warangal, celebrating its Diamond Jubilee year, collaborates with Sports Psychology Association of India to organise the national conference on "Sport and Exercise Psychology: Practices, Pursuits and Promises" to cover a wide range of topics related to sport, play, exercise, motor behaviour and physical activity. The conference aims at addressing the new perspectives on the science and art of sports and exercise psychology and issues related to the athelete's mental training and management and social changes. The Conference aims at facilitating fruitful exchange of knowledge and experience and to further the feeling of identity by creating a platform for the sports psychologists, physical educationists, coaches, sports administrators, sport scientists etc., in the field.
SEP-2019 welcomes research papers on the following topics but not limited to:
Authors should submit an abstract (Paper and Poster) of their original, unpublished work in not exceeding 300 words. The abstract format can be downloaded from the conference website. The poster format will be A0 (118.9 cm / 46.8” height x 84.1 cm / 31.1” width). The abstract must be mailed to email@example.com.
