The rapid increase in the infrastructure and the demand for materials and resources is leading to disturbance in the environment and destabilization in sustainability. This has created a huge impetus on developing innovative and non-conventional materials and smart technologies with the aim of increasing profitability, decreasing construction time and overall impact on the built environment. The International conference on Cement and Building Koncrete for a sustainable and Resilient infrastructure (CBKR-2023) will be a major platform for leading experts from academia, industry and field to discuss and deliberate on the latest scientific and technical information on a wide range of sustainable and resilient concrete making materials and technologies. During the conference, extensive deliberations on various areas are expected by way of technical presentations, invited lectures and key note lectures through both online and in-person modes.

The intent of organizing this national conference is to provide a platform for academicians, researchers,practicing engineers and scientists to share their knowledge and experiences for a better tomorrow.The theme of conference is "Advances in Construction Materials and Management” covers the state-of-the-art research and technologies related to construction materials and management. Profile of Prof. C.B. KAMESWARA RAO

Prof Rao CBK, is a senior faculty of Civil Engineering at National Institute of Technology Warangal (NITW). He is a Graduate from JN Technological University, Kakinada, PG & PhD from REC (NIT), Warangal, India. Guided eight PhD students and two are in progress, completed four funded research projects, two more in progress, published 150 research papers in international journals, international / national conferences, expert lectures etc, and also submitted four patents. Prof. Rao worked at AIT, Bangkok for a term. He is a Member of BIS CED 2:  Cement and Concrete Sectional Committee, subcommittee 2.2., IRC Committee B4. His research interests include Engineered Cement Composites, ductile concrete, retrofitting, Precast Joints among others.

National Institute of Technology Warangal (Formerly known as REC Warangal) was established in 1959 with a mission to promote education in professional courses and to achieve excellence in technical education and research. The Institute currently has Thirteen academic departments and several advanced research centres in various disciplines of engineering, pure sciences and management, with nearly 100 laboratories, central library with state-of-the-art facilities, auditorium, student activity centre, mega computer centre, indoor games complex, sports stadium, seminar halls with all the infrastructure, dispensary with state of art of facilities, etc. The Institute offers eight Undergraduate programmes (B.Tech.,) in Engineering, Twenty-Nine Postgraduate programmes (M.Tech., M.Sc., MCA and MBA) in engineering, sciences and management and research programmes in engineering, sciences, humanities, physical education and management. The Department of Civil Engineering has been one of the pioneering academic departments of National Institute of Technology Warangal since inception of the institute in 1959. The Department has well qualified, experienced and motivated faculty members who are recognised at National and International levels. Faculty have good publication record and patents and are members of the BIS, IRC etc. The Department offers UG Programme in Civil Engineering and PG programs in Eight disciplines. The Department is a recognised QIP Center since 1978 and has a good number of research projects funded by MHRD, AICTE, UGC, CSIR, DST, MOUA, MOST, CWC, CRRI, CBIP and R&D. Many public sector undertakings like NTPC, RITES, Singareni Collieries, ONGC etc. and private companies like Gammon India Ltd., L&T etc. consult the Department for technical advice. It maintains excellent rapport with MORTH, BIS, Ministry of Urban Affairs, Ministry of Rural Development and several municipal bodies and UDAs.
